JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for increasing the company’s revenue through continuous account development, consistent account servicing and excellent people management within his/ her specified territory.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads a team of Business Development Specialist / Supervisor (BDS). Trains, assists, monitors and tracks the BDSs performance through regular fieldwork and open communication.
- Ensures achievement of the annual and monthly financial targets through continuous customer development and effective and efficient implementation of agreed sales initiatives.
- Conceptualizes strategies, plans and programs to develop and further enhance company’s business in the Foodservice channel.
- Maintains records and reports necessary for efficient and effective customer servicing.
- Plans, seeks approval and tracks trade budget spending.
- Provides recommendation and executional support vis-à-vis Management’s objectives, strategies and action plans on the following critical components for the foodservice channels – selling, pricing, promotions, competitive activities and new opportunities.
- Maintains account receivables at agreed daily sales outstanding level to help company cash flows.
- Actively participates in weekly and monthly reviews, planning and remedial sessions with Accounts and Principals to ensure achievement of volume objectives.
- Prepares periodic and special reports to inform superior about accounts’ business status, trade developments, problems and opportunities.
- Prepares both internal and external correspondence as needed.
- Attends to customers’ needs, inquiries and complaints pertaining to product supply, quality and delivery service to promote customer satisfaction.
- Participates in major food industry events to enlarge potential customer and product sales leads.
- Maintains a complete knowledge of the company’s products and services such as:
- Product usage, handling, packaging
- Trading terms
- Prices, discounts
- Delivery lead times
- Sources of production and distribution
- Trade promotion /incentive programs
- Maintains effective liaison with key linkages through regular communication and periodic meetings to ensure effective delivery of service to customers.
- Maintains healthy professional relationships with various principals.
- Monitors the progress on sales and distribution via regular field work.
- Assists the Operations Manager in any special task that may be assigned from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS
- Preferably with a baccalaureate degree in Nutrition, Hotel and Restaurant or any related course. A Bachelor of Science degree in any other course is also acceptable.
- At least three (3) years work experience in the foodservice industry.
- Should have at least been previously occupying a supervisory position.
- Must be computer literate.
- Must know how to drive.
- Must have good verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Can work with minimum supervision.
- Must have outstanding leadership qualities.
- Must be assertive, dynamic and results driven
- Must be a team player, with mature decision making, high level of integrity and concern for the welfare of the others.
- Must be reliable at all times.
