Pork Asado
Ingredients:
500G Pork Belly
1 tbsp garlic
½ tsp Chicken Powder
¼ cup ABC Sweet Sauce
2 tbsp Pineapple Juice
2 cups Stock / Water
⅛ tsp Chinese Five Spice
¼ cup Cooking Wine
To taste
1 pc star anise
½ tbsp brown sugar
1 slice ginger
1 tbsp Slurry (½ tbsp cornstarch + ½ tbsp water)
Procedure:
- Place all ingredients together (except for slurry) in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil then lower down the heat to simmer.
- Add more liquid as necessary, simmer pork until fork tender and set aside to cool.
- Continue to simmer sauce until reduced and thicken with slurry
- Slice pork thinly and arrange into a platter.
- Pour sauce over pork slices.
