DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overseeing Daily Operations of the Accounting Department and will lead and mentor a team of 6 accountants.
- Provide leadership to all Accounting Functions including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable. General ledger, Payroll, and Financial Reporting.
- Establish Internal Control procedures to ensure that accounting transactions are properly documented, filed, and executed.
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions if necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for alignment and effective communication.
- In charge of SAP records, procedures, and workflow.
- Create and maintain a scalable chart of accounts.
- Verification of all Accounting Reports and Accounting Records submitted to management and as requested by other departments.
- Recommend to management enhancement of internal control procedures.
- Supervise and manage general ledger accounting functions.
- Establish financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, processing, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.
- Ensure proper monitoring of revenues and expenses, evaluation of financial data, as well as preparation and review of special reports.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accounting Manager in a Food Retail and/or Manufacturing Industry.
- Excellent ability to problem solve along with solid analytical skills, understanding of the business process, and systems optimization.
- Comfortable interacting with all levels of management in multiple areas.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and internal audit.
- Ability to review data and make relevant management decisions.
- Detail-oriented.
- Experience in Accounting ERP, preferably in SAP.
