THAI DANCER Sticky Caramel Chicken Drumsticks Recipe
For the Chicken Marinate:
- 4 pcs chicken thigh
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 tbsp plain flour
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- salt
- 1/2 tsp coarse black pepper
- Oil for frying
For the Sauce:
- 3 cloves garlic – minced
- 1 tbsp minced ginger
- 1 tbsp Thai Dancer Oriental fish sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Thai Dancer Sriracha chili sauce
- 1 / 4 cup (60ml) honey
- 2 tbsp. cooking oil
- As needed toasted sesame seeds for garnish
Procedure:
- Season chicken with salt and pepper, marinate for 30 minutes.
- Add egg, four and cornstarch and mix until well combined.
- Deep fry chicken in pre-heated oil for 13-15 minutes until cooked and golden.
- Heat 2 tbsps. of oil in wok, stir fry ginger and garlic. Add all sauces and honey.
- Stir over low heat and let the mixture boil.
- Add in fried chicken pieces and mix thoroughly until the chicken coats well with the sauce. Leave for few minutes and turn off heat.
* Sprinkle some toasted sesame over the chicken before serving.
